MEET DR. ROHINI MATHRANI

Dr. Rohini Mathrani, or “Dr. Ro”, is a Wheaton native who has spent most of her life in the Chicago area. She received dual degrees in economics and psychology from Northwestern University and completed her dental training at the University of Illinois at Chicago. While studying dentistry at UIC, she herself received Invisalign treatment from UIC orthodontic residents, which sparked her interest in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. Dr. Mathrani was one of only nine residents to receive a dual Specialty Certificate in Orthodontics and Master of Science degree from the highly selective Orthodontics Advanced Specialty Training Program at UIC. After completing her orthodontic training and working at a prestigious dental practice on Park Avenue in Manhattan, Dr. Mathrani permanently relocated back to Illinois to serve her local community.

Across her professional experiences as an orthodontist, Dr. Mathrani has treated hundreds of patients with metal and ceramic braces, lingual braces, and Invisalign. Within her first few years as a provider, she earned the status of Invisalign® Premier Provider. For Dr. Mathrani, orthodontics is more than just straightening teeth. It’s about the journey that the patient and doctor take together. Patients get the best results when they are educated, informed, and motivated to be part of the journey. Dr. Mathrani strongly believes in the importance of high quality customer service and excellent communication while working with patients to achieve their best smile. She truly loves her job because she can make an appreciable difference in patients’ lives.

Dr. Mathrani considers herself a lifelong student and keeps up with the latest developments in her field so that she can incorporate these advances into her patients’ treatments. She attends seminars, belongs to orthodontic study groups, and is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association.

Outside of the office, Dr. Mathrani enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, as well as her extended family and friends. Dr. Mathrani enjoys working out, traveling, and exploring the Chicagoland area with her family.

MEET DR. LAUREN HOYE

Dr. Lauren Hoye is a Board-Certified Orthodontist who was born and raised in Orland Park. She attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she received undergraduate and graduate degrees in Accountancy. After working as a CPA for a couple of years, she decided to change careers and pursue dentistry. Her decision to become an orthodontist arose through the powerful impact of her own orthodontic treatment and her desire to create the same experience for others. She went on to attend dental school at Midwestern University in Downers Grove, where she was a part of the inaugural graduating class. After obtaining her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree, she went on to complete a 3-year orthodontic residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago. In addition to her Certificate in Orthodontics, Dr. Lauren earned a Master’s in Oral Sciences degree for her research pertaining to the accuracy of tracking orthodontic tooth movement using Dental Monitoring™ smartphone technology. Her work has also been published in the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.

Dr. Lauren is truly honored to be part of a profession that changes lives through smiles. She loves that orthodontics helps develop the self-confidence a person needs to achieve one’s dreams and reach his or her full potential. Dr. Lauren looks forward to improving both dental function and facial aesthetics that will positively impact her patients for the rest of their lives.

To continue her passion for learning and providing the best treatment outcomes for her patients, Dr. Lauren frequently attends continuing education seminars and local dental meetings. She is also a member of numerous professional dental organizations, including the Chicago Dental Society, American Dental Association, and the American Association of Orthodontists. Her collaboration with other professionals through dental study clubs ensures her patients receive the most successful care.

When away from the office, you will find Dr. Lauren enjoying quality time with her husband, Jim, and their three children – Hallie, Chloe, and Nathan. Her favorite hobbies include running, traveling, and trying new restaurants. Dr. Lauren looks forward to becoming involved in and giving back to the local communities in which she lives and serves.

MEET DR. MONICA GANDHI

Dr. Monica, a Florida native, stayed in the South to earn her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, where she discovered her passion for dentistry. With a growing interest in oral health and a desire to make a lasting impact, she went on to pursue her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree at Roseman University of Health Sciences in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Dr. Monica continued her dental education with a one-year residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the University of Detroit Mercy in Detroit, Michigan. She then completed a Master of Science in Orthodontics at Seton Hill University Center for Orthodontics in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, receiving specialized training in a wide range of orthodontic treatments, including traditional braces, Invisalign®, early interceptive care, and surgical orthodontics.

Her decision to move to Illinois was driven by a desire to be closer to her sister and nieces. She is deeply committed to helping patients of all ages achieve healthy, confident smiles through compassionate, customized care. Her approach combines the latest in orthodontic techniques with a gentle, patient-first philosophy that makes each visit a positive experience.

Dr. Monica is also committed to lifelong learning and regularly attends continuing education courses to stay on the leading edge of orthodontic advances. She is a proud member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, and Chicago Dental Society.

Outside the office, Dr. Monica enjoys reading, playing tennis and golf, listening to music, traveling, and spending time with her family.
